A tall blond strode into the bar without a second thought. Her friends she had made since moving up here had told her it wasn't a good idea but she didn't care, she was tired of the idiot boys at the local hot spots. Smiling at those who looked her way she took a stool and ordered a shot of Crown. She took her shot, ordered another and looked at those seated next to her.
The place did give her a strange feeling, much like that crazy witch with the pet copperhead had the one time she'd stumbled upon her. That witch was nothing but a batty old had and this place was just a bar. Izzy scolded herself for acting foolish, there was nothing about this place that was any different that the hundreds of others hole in the wall bars she'd been going to since she was 13.

Kronas leaned against a wall, his sharp, hawk-like eyes piercing through the smokey atmosphere of the bar. The flickering, blue strobe lights danced reflections in his caramel coloured eyes, showing that he was content, at the time. He caught sight of a pretty blonde, and could immediately tell that she was no vampire, or a lycanth.
With his twenty-year-old appearance, Kronas was content wearing a pair of slightly scruffy looking black jeans and a simple white t-shirt. It was a dress style that he'd stuck too for many a century. Dark, or black trousers and a white shirt, or t-shirt. He'd grown rather attatched to a pair of shoes that were fro mthe brand of Converse, there were incredibally worn looking, as well, black, with used-to-be white rubber toes.
His dark brown hair was ruffled slightly, due to Kronas running his hands through it a lot. A habit that he's aquired some time back, when he was thinking about how he was one of the only Thunderbird's left in existance. And here was his chance to change that. He walked over, looking casual, but glaring at anyone who turned to lok at the girl. They all knew who he was, they all knew what he was.
"Why hello there." He said politely, flashing a grin with his straight, white teeth. He slid on to the bar stoold next to the pretty blonde human. There was a moment of silence. "You're brave to attempt to come in here." Or maybe ignorant. Either one, the girl would probably be confused by his statement.

Izzy had been trying not to look too bored when a man walked up to her. He was around her age, and boy was he good looking. She was brought back to reality when she realized it was her he was talking to. She caught something about her being brave but with her innocent smile, one she had perfected at a young age, she reply softly. "Aw how sweet, y'all don't think that a little thing like myself can take care of myself. I'll tell you somethin sug, you should be more worried for all these little boys in here." She took another shot of crown and studied the male closer. "I am Izzy, and I do believe you are the first man I have seen in ages. I don't know what is it about these yankees but they are more feminine than my momma - God rest her soul - though that's really not saying much."
She talked a lot, she knew that, everyone had told her that once she learned to talk she felt like she had to make up for the time she couldn't, and then some. She silently cursed herself, this guy probably thought she was an idiot. Oh well. She took yet another shot and waited to see what he had to say.

Kronas didn't try to hold back the wide grin that was spreading across his face. The girl-Izzy- was an amusing character, he could tell that already. Her accent was something that he hadn't come across for a while, and it made him smile. Not in the 'ha ha you sound funny' was, but in a sort of, 'I'm glad to see something fresh and different' kind of way.
She seemed to be a bit of a chatterbox, and that could be a problem. He qiftly ordered himself a beer, and turned his honey-golden gaze back to Izzy, silently just scanning her face for a while. "You'd be surprised about most people in here." He said, his words having more of a double meaning than Izzy could probably comprihend. "I'm Kronas, by the way. So Izzy, tell me, how long have you been in this city?" He asked politely, a smile across his features.

Izzy smiled, he was nice. She needed something to sip on so when the bar tender went to refill her shot glass she shook her had and pointed to what Kronas was drinking. She took a sip, giving herself time to think, and mentally reminded herself to watch her mouth. The damn thing just seem to run on it's own at times.
"Darlin there isn't much that surprises me anymore. And I've been here about a week, went to the big city to be a star and a few weeks in the money ran out. I met a girl while I was there that lives a little outside town and she just downright demanded I move back with her. She's a sweet thing." She cut herself off there, she knew if she didn't she'd just end up rambling on again. Taking another drink of her beer she met Kronas's caramel colored eyes, they were totally entrancing. Realizing that she was staring she laughed and spoke again. "What about you?" Izzy was starting to feel a little goofy, the man next to her was striking, and she couldn't seem to keep her eyes off him she wanted to memorize every feature.

Kronas smiled. Don't smirk, you cocky bastard. he told himself when he realised that she was sort of staring at him. Of course, Kronas knew he was very appealing to the eyes of many females (and even some males...), living for a long time made you realise and accept things like that. "Me? Oh, I've not been here all that long myself, honestly." It was true, to Kronas, two years felt like not very long at all. He had, of course, lived here before. "I travel alot, I like seeing new places and meeting new people." Another thing that was true, Kronas loved going to new places, collecting memories, but here was somewhere Kronas returned too often.
Looking for new 'recruits'.
Kronas decided to drop a small hint. "So it wouldn't surprise you if I told you that there's something about this town that sets it apart from all others?" He asked, the comforting smile still on his face, though his eyes were more serious, the gold colour was a little more intense. Not indicating that Kronas was getting angry, just showing that his happy mood had sort of disappeared. He was glad to talk and would do so, but he was slightly more focussed on business now.

Izzy listened intently to Kronas as he spoke, he seemed like he was hiding something but who these days wasn't? So he liked to travel? She'd never done a lot of traveling herself, and she began to imagine herself off in some strange land, eating something she probably didn't want to know the ingredients of, though she was surprised that her company on her imaginary trip was this man she barely knew. Again he brought her back to reality by speaking.
The tone was different, his eyes seemed different, but the girl he was talking to was still the same girl. "Honestly sug I'd be pretty damn excited. So far it seems too much like home, and I left there for a good reason. Now I tell you what, if you could surprise me, I would be pleased as a muskrat in a brush pile. But there I go again, letting my mouth overload my tail. She laughed softly and took a drink of her beer before should could open her mouth again.

Kronas laughed softly and took a drink from his own beer. Izzy was truely amuzing. And she seemed very down to earth, but he wondered how she'd react to knowing that there were lycanths and vampires surrounding her. "Well, you may be surprised by the fact that you are pretty much the only human in this room." He stated. He waited for that to sink in, "Even the bar tender." he added. And then explained. "Everyone in this room apart from you is either a vampire or a lycan. It's because I'm sitting next to you that no one has jumped on you and turned you into something else. Yet." Kronas didn't like sugarcoating the truth. So much that he was brutaly honest, and he just hoped that Izzy wouldn't be freaked out. He decided to continue. "Myself, I am one of the few remaining members of a rare race of lycanth, known as a thunderbird. I poses the ability to morph into a giant bird of prey." His eyes studied her face, taking in every move she made, every muscle that twitched, with hawk-like precision. "Those here respect me because of that and they keep their distance."

Of course, the hidden form caught all of the conversation from his comfortable spot across the room. Yes, he was a frequented member here who enjoyed just listening in on the others of his race, his kind. Kronas was here, he knew as much, and how desperately he desired for that bird to get him some members. Finally, a female seemed to step out to him and the old wolf smiled, maybe tonight would prove a good night for his dear friend. Stepping forward he neared the pair, for surely Kronas would desire him for any further input, if not, he would gladly turn away. Standing tall he seated himself on a barstool to the left of Kronas, patting him forcefully on the shoulder as he chuckled.
So, you found yourself a keeper, hey Kronas? By the way, the name is Orion. Yes, what he says is true...would you like a little more privacy? I know sometimes this can come as quite a shock to folk.
His toothy grin nearly matching that of his animal smiles, but all honest and forthright, he didn't want to scare her, this was now her only way out of this bar...alive.

Izzy sat her beer down on the bar, letting everything sink in fully. Vampires? Lycans? Well, Kronas had surprised her. She knew there was something fishy about this place. She thought about it for a little longer, and shrugged, she had grown up with stories of vampires, they always seemed beautiful to her but kind of boring. Now being able to change into an animal, that was something worth being. She wasn't really a impulsive girl, but this was going to be something she wanted.
Another male walked up to the two and began speaking. So Kronas was telling the truth, not that she doubted him. She smiled sweetly at the fellow that introduced himself as Orion and spoke up for herself. "Sug, shock is when a gater pops right out of the water and takes your momma back down with it. Shock is waking up to a cottonmouth in your bed. This? This doesn't phase me not one bit. As for privacy, you seem to be friends with Kronas so you will both be happy to know that I intended on taking him up on his implied offer. It's about time some of the stories my momma - God rest her soul - told came true. She always said some man would come into my life and sweep me off my feet to the point I would do anything for him. Well this mesmerizing friend of yours has done the sweeping part, so lets let him do his thing and work on keeping me." She winked and rested her hand on Kronas's. She was never one to be called shy, that was for sure.

Kronas felt a wide grin spread across his face at what Izzy said. Most people didn't take it all that well. But Izzy, well, Izzy was different. And Izzy was remarkably pretty. "Definately." He replied. He grinned at Orion, his oldest and closest friend. "I'm sure we'll be fine, can't you tell? Or are you getting a little slow with your old age?." Kronas grinned teasingly. He enjoyed teasing Orion about the fact that he was probably the oldest being in existance, and though Kronas was closer to his age than most, Orion was still way older.
He turned back to Izzy, who was practically towing him towards the bathrooms, and gently pulled her to a halt. "Now now, love." Kronas said, his voice was gentle, yet commanding. "Where do you think we are, some rotton old bar? There's rooms here, you know." And thinking about it, Kronas decided that they should take the biggest one. Thunderbirds were, after all, rather big, and most of the smaller rooms wouldn't fit one. Plus, there was the asset of a nice bed. So, with a friendly wink in the direction of Orion, Kronas set on leading Izzy up some stairs to a nice, big room. Who knew, maybe they could have some fun.

Orion gave Kronas a sideways glance, not long before Kriss had made such a comment, but hers was more in an intolerable tone, Kronas, he was just someone he was plain used to saying stuff like that. He could see just how well the pair were getting on and it pleased him so to see one so enthralled with Kronas.
Right, well then, I'll leave the two of you to it.
Turning away he felt his duties were needed elsewhere at the time, for surely these two would enjoy a little privacy. Watching them head up to a separate room he took a stand in his corner and surveyed the area before dropping off into silent meditation.

Izzy smiled and offered a little wave to the strange Orion as she was led up stairs. Her heart fluttered, her mind raced. With each step they took the more excited she got. She wanted more than just his gift, she would have to make sure that she made that clear.
When they stepped inside the room Izzy was pleasantly surprised, the room was huge and had a very large, shockingly clean looking bed. She didn't want to seem as if she were easy, so she smiled and kissed Kronas on the cheek before walking around the room, inspecting it further. Finally satisfied she had wasted enough time she turned back to the handsome man standing near the door and smiled. "Be easy, I've never been bitten by a mythical creature before."

Kronas smiled, and closed the door, locking it as well. He smiled again at Izzy, leaning against the door with a slightly vacant look on hit face. He was thinking about two things. The first was how to bite her. He did, of course, have the ability to grow fangs for the very purpose, but should he play for a while and then bite her? OR just bite her straight off. It would be easier. Yes. Kronas decided that he would bite her straight off. Play later, after she'd slept off the changes. Play was for later when something could actually come of it.
And the secon thing he was thinking about, was that 'play' and how it could mean the possibly re-birth of the Thunderbird race. His race would come alive again, possibly. And then Kronas wouldn't be alone.
Shaking his head clear of the thoughts, he crossed the room in several swift strieds, and crashed his lips to hers. Okay so he'd play a little. But not much. He only kissed her, then trailed the kisses along her jaw and down her neck, and when he reached her collar bone, that's when he bit. Not very hard, only lightly. Enough to draw blood and enough to hurt, but not so that the blood was gushing out, and it wouldn't be inredibally painful.
The painful part was yet to come. He raised his head, wiping his mouth clean of the blood. "So here's the deal. It's going to be very painful as your body changes to accostom the whole being a lycan thing. Once that pain has mostly subsided, then you'll be able to change for the first time. It's painful and usually slow for the first time changing, but it gets a hell of a lot easier after that, trust me. You won't even think about it after about a week. But it does take a little trying it out to get used to being a really big bird as well." Kronas finished and closed his mouth, his teeth audibly clicked together. Figuring that the pain would be starting a round about now, he easily lifted Izzy up and carried her over to the bed, laying her gently down on it.

Kronas walked up to her and kissed her, she nearly melted in his arms right then and there. She mentally told herself to keep her head on her shoulders until this was done. She moaned slightly when he bit her, it had hurt but in an oddly pleasant way. She knew that this is where it got bad, and Kronas affirmed her suspicions when she told her what would happen.
She was starting to get dizzy as he picked her up, she was glad to have him lay her in the bed. Tears welled up in her eyes as the pain in her chest started to spread throughout her body. She felt like she was on fire, her bones hurt, her skin was crawling. She doubled over on the bed with a whimper but was immediately drawn straight back out. Her back arched as she screamed out in pain, she couldn't think, she couldn't do anything but feel this horrible feeling. She began crying heavily when the pain took a different turn as her body began to change, her bones felt like they were breaking as they changed shape and consistency. Her skin was unbearably itchy as feathers began to sprout, her legs felt like they might fall off as the soft skinned appendages changed into the talons of a giant hawk.
Eventually a giant hawk rested on the bed where the blond girl had laid. Sweat and tears dampened the sheet below the beast, and right now her head was hidden beneath her wings. She felt so embarrassed, she couldn't believe that Kronas had seen her cry. She laid there in silence, not wanting to try out the wings until the remaining tinges of pain subsided.
