Frankii drew in a shuddering breath and she practically crept past the door whic she had only barely opened to enter. Why was she there? She wasn't exactly sure herself, something had compelled her to go there. Part curiousity, part the want to prove to herself that she had the guts too. She straightened as she entered, breathing deeply and calming herself. Smoke swirled around her legs, glowing blue from the lights. Frankii's blue grey eyes darted around, she was on edge, but not scared, there didn't seem to be anything to be scared off, she was just wary.
Her hands were tugging at the end of her pony-tail, which was resting over her shoulder. The frayed ends of her old, slightly ripped jeans scuffed the ground as she took several steps forward.

He hadn't been one to be noticed standing far off in the corner observing, emerald eyes darting back and forth through the crowd. Standing against the wall, neat casual dress shirt tucked in dark in color, he chose navy blue tonight. His sunglasses, though unnecessary in these dark situations, hid his gaze as his senses picked up on a young lass, human, her heart racing against his ears. He pulled the shades away, piercing glance passed over all the usuals and found the one who had just entered. He smiled, stepping from the wall, prowling forward with such ease it was almost like he was gliding toward her. Hand extended he caught her shoulder, a gentle touch but something to catch her attention.
Alone are we? What brings you here, missy?
His words deep, tones overheard and slightly low enough to be heard over the music.

Frankii lept around instantly, her eyes wide, a startled look on her face. She tok a few deep breaths to calm herself. Quit being so freakin' jumpy. she told herself sternly. She'd only just barely caught the man's words, and her own (which were acompanied with a shrug) were barely audible over the music,
"Just curiousity, I guess, and a self-dare."
Frankii's breathing had slowed down considerabley from her fright, but her blue-grey eyes were still darting nervously around the room, as if she was frighened someone would jump out at her at any moment.

Eyes wandered over the young lady, she was a little on edge, heart thumping against his throat though she stood a good foot away. Perfection, another to the numbers, but not yet, he knew who would need one more to her ranks. Their numbers were few, blood thinning, and the incest was outrageous, this was mostly his fault, for some strange reason he could not produce offspring, 300 years of fornication and he still had no pups. He caught her shoulder and pulled her along, bringing her away from the crowd, a pleasant air flowing about his large form.
Calm down, no one is going to kill you here, you're safe. Come, talk with me.
Approaching his point of origin he placed his back against the wall once more, he made it a general point to know those who might be worthy candidates for the race.
So, how old are you? You here alone? What's your name?
Each question viable, though something not so personal, at least, that was what he thought.

A frown appeared across Frankii's face, though she followed the strange man not really having much of a choice as she was pulled along. She crossed her arms, and stared at him as he asked the questions. She opened her mouth, having no intention of answering either of those questions, and breathed in. "Who the hell do you think you are dragging me over here and asking me those questions? Which i'm not going to answer to a stranger who I know absolutely nothing about. How can you expect me to tell you that when you've only said about three sentences to me." Having done with her 'speech' she turned around and walked off, attempting to make her way through the crowd, but not succeeding. She was pushed, shoved and hit from all directions as people dances and moshed. "Get the fuck off of me." Frankii hissed under her breath, pushing a man who had tumbled into her away. She shoved a few more people out the way and came to the edge of the crowd, in a completely different part of the room than she had been before, and not knowing where the exit was. Oh crap. she thought, her hand went up to her mouth and she nervously chewed on her thumbnail, wondering what to do.

Sitting on a stool next to the bar, blue-green eyes watched the proceedings. She had already marked out Orion Kamen, the pack master standing hidden in a shadowed corner. A girl walked in, human girl and she didn't seem too frightened of the place. Kriss was surprised. Most humans came in here and were terrified. she watched with interest as Orion went to her and confronted her, pulling her to a corner. Focusing, she heard their conversation and heard the girl back talk to Orion. Kriss was impressed. She certainly wouldn't have been able to back talk to the pack master, even if she hadn't known who he was. He was an intimidating being. She saw the girl next against a wall, looking lost and a wee bit frightened. Sliding down from her stool she walked over. Approaching, she smiled, not wanting to scare her. "Hi," she said, friendly and open with the girl. "My name is Kriss, what's your's?" She really did want to know who she was, and also she needed pack members, there were too many wolves running around, it was time to get another leopard in the mix.

The girl seemed a little more than antsy, a mistake she made to enter this place in the first place if she expected to get out free and clear, that was a foolish attempt on her part. It seemed viable points she made, for he had not given her reason to answer anything he asked, but in the approach of others he pulled back a little, no doubt a pack leader would come to try and work her themselves, he was just a bystander really. Speaking of, along came one, not a wolf leader, but a good leader all the same. Kriss Paloma, Leopard leader, power and prowess, he smiled, she would get the job done quickly, and her open nature would be more suited for his needs. He did not fear many of his pack leaders, none could match his wisdom and age, but Kriss was one to heed warning to.
Kriss, long time. You seem well. Please, maybe we should take this to someplace a little more private...
He indicated more toward the separate rooms closed off away from the crowd, it seemed that all the hustle and bustle of the club was getting to her, and that area was where they needed to get to anyways. Two to her, they could get her to go, and a female companion was always more friendly than the presence of one male, he knew that from experience and observation. He watched Kriss questioningly.
(sorry, hadn't noticed that there was a reply here!)

Kriss turned as she heard Orion's lyrics by her. She looked up at him, smiling slightly, her eyes guarded and wary. "It has been a long time, Orion. You look...older." she said, joking slightly. She knew not how old he really was, but she knew he was ancient. He definitely didn't look it though. She felt a little unnerved, being so close to the pack master. She would have to watch her step, not be an insubordinate. While she could hold her own for a good time in battle, she didn't know how she would match up against Orion, whose strength was legendary. But for all his strength and fable, he couldn't seem to convince a young human girl to trust him. Kriss knew she could, or at the least she was pretty sure. Glancing at him out of the corner of her eye, her smile widened to show her pearly white teeth. It would seem to the girl that she was only widening her smile in a friendly way, but any Lycanth would see it was a warning. "I certainly do not wish to be in a room alone with you. And I'm not completely sure she would appreciate it either."

His gaze found that motion, something that he took that she wanted a little privacy, which was fine, but age, that was something he didn't enjoy comments on...he was oh so exceedingly ancient, he didn't even know exactly how old he was. He smiled in response, a flash of all those ancient whites, sharpened in some points. He let a glance fall over the human before he drew close to Kriss, knowing his comment would reach her ears only.
Watch it, Kriss, you almost dragged out the wolf in me on that little age comment. Good thoughts though, I'll leave you alone with her, but I'll be close to ensure both of your safety.
He knew humans sometimes rose up unexpectedly, certain that Kriss was one to handle herself he wasn't too worried, but he couldn't help but remain to oversee all shifts to help ease the tension made when they know they aren't entirely human any longer. Turning, he made his way toward the far wall, standing near to the rooms but not too near to spark attention in the soon to be new lycanth girl.

Kriss grinned as her words met her ears. Murmuring back to him, too low for the human girl to hear, she replied, "Oh, you have me scared now, Orion. Had that happened, I'm sure the leopard would have been happy to retaliate." She was pleased that she had rankled him, made her feel accomplished. She was becoming more comfortable with him the longer she conversed. Reverting back to being sarcastic always helped too. Not her fault she had a wry and sarcastic sense of humor. It always made things more interesting. She turned her attention back to the girl, waiting for her to reply to her first question.

Frankii opened her mouth to answer, there was something slightly less intimidating about the girl, than the strange man. Truth be told, he had frightened her more than a little. She took a small step back when he appeared. Then waited until he was gone again, before actually replying. "I'm Francesca. You can call me Frankii." she said. "Who are you?"

Kriss smiled. The girl seemed pretty frightened of Orion, and she couldn't blame her. "I'm Kristina Paloma, but you can call me Kriss," she said. She put her hand lightly on Frankii's arm and added softly, "Ignore Orion, he thinks any girl will come running to him when he shows that he fancies them." She hoped he heard that. If only she could see his face when he did, she would drop dead with laughter. The music got louder, and a song came on the everyone apparently loved. They jumped up, yelling and ran to the dance floor. She cringed, the levels of noise hurting her sensitive ears. "Come on," she shouted over the beats. "Let's go over here where it's quiet." She lead Frankii towards one of the rooms and opened the door, then waited for the girl to go in before her.

Frankii nodded, smiling. She felt more at ease around Kriss than she had Orion, although she was still wary, and on high-alert. She practically jumped a foot in the air when a dancer's hand brushed against her. She walked into the room, turning and walking backwards to watch Kriss. She stopped walking. ((Can't really think of much to say, it's kind of your moment here.))

Kriss could see in Frankii's eyes that she trusted her more than she had trusted Orion. She didn't blame her. She sat on the couch that was placed against one of the walls, and patted the seat beside her, inviting her to sit, and smiled up at her. "So, what're you doing here? And alone I might add, this place is pretty dangerous for a human," she spoke quickly. Might as well get it out and over with. It would be the same reaction any way she said it. And now Frankii was destined to become a lycanth, Kriss would see to that. Though she would be gentler about it than Orion would have. She was only going to nip her, not a full blown bite, for that would be too painful.

Frankii sat in the invited seat, only on the edge of it though. Even though they weren't in a room packed with people, she still couldn't be sure that no one would randomly jump out of the shadows. She tilted her head to the side, thinking about the question. "It was a self challenge thing. Usually when i tell myself to do something that I don't want to, I don't, I wanted to prove to myself that I could concquer my dislike or fear or something and actually make myself do it. And I guess it worked, and now I';m here. And dangerous? That's my problem, not yours." There was a hint of defiance in Frankii's voice. Truthfully, she didn't know what she would have done if, say, a vampire had come over and tried to feed from her. Most, if not all of the people in the room were probably stronger than her. But Frankii didn't let her nervousness about that show at all. Something deep in her knew what was going to happen; She was going to become something else this night. Something other than human. But the thought didn't scare Frankii, it just left her feeling a little empty.
