Night. The time for peace, prosperity, and wholeness for all that was the Lycanth community. A lonely howl raised chills in the flesh of all in the forest, for it was that time again. The light of the moon glowed violently across the large terrain, trees set ablaze against the bright white of the moon in full, glowing eyes burning bright against the back drop of the darkened shade of the world below the tree's canopies. Deer ran vacant, alone, hoping to seek shelter before the wakening of all those who would surely be seeking to destroy them, to devour them and quench that of the hunger that lasted forever. The distant sound of the river passing through the entire wood lay low as if to protect itself from those who were preparing to traipse into it's shallows, to take from it the fish and creatures that inhabited it.
At the borders of this land was found that of Orion's house, the pits lit up for just this occasion, freshly cleaned and medical supplies stocked for any who decided to take to a fight in the run, then they would be charged here and fight alone in the protection of these cages. The house itself lay in silence, the children vacant with their mother and preparing for this, the night of the gathering. Orion, settled on his haunches in the midst of the darkness stood and stepped out to his podium, rising up to the wooden platform and letting out the eerie howl that would bring all those to him. As he silenced and listened closely to that of his own echo his green gaze flinched and switched, wondering where might his lovely Tequila be, her white pelt sure to give her away, unlike that of his gray pelt. Everyone knew who he was, but none knew her, tonight they would learn of her, learn of his lovely mate, new to the lycanth world. He took a seat and waited for the others, those that would take their time to show, he was sure of it.
Rules
No hunting others, if you wish to fight another player you must consult Orion first to get a pit for it, otherwise, any fighting for long instances will result in an automatic warning.
Mating is allowed, thus the X in the title, and graphic killing is also allowed, but no one will get pregnant since everyone is in animal form.
Stick to the general rules, no godmodeling and such...remember, don't follow the rules you'll be in trouble!
Have fun! This is to get to know others, nothing more, so please enjoy yourselves!!

Young pads touched the forsaken earth gently comeing to their master. They made little to no sound and almost stalked like the hunt had already began. Pure as the were for so was my entire pelt clearly visable and easy to spot in the shadows. For in the darkest of places the smallest light is still shines. My pelt blazed with the moons rays standing for the smallest amount of seconds to take and bask like the luna flowers did on such accasions when there was a full moon. My favorite flower, how ironic now it seemed I had more in common with the plant now that I had become what I was.
The hunt hadn't started and there was no call, so I thought it would be a benifit for me to check out the surroundings. Yes, I smelled my prey but would wait to slaughter them, give them a few more hours of life before I take it away like I was God. Though questions ran threw my mind, like why were we limited to animals of this forest? Why not the people I used to be, I was sure they wouldn't be a bad meal to one of us. I licked my white chops as drool started to seep threw the cracks were my wolf lips met. Pink toung finding it's way around my whole muzzle even over my pink nose.
Pillars cease movement almost instantly, stuck in a stance with a paw hovering the ground listening to my lover howl. His tone so beautiful it almost hypmotized me on the cool spot. Harks prick and I raise my own ivory nape to the heavens above, sending him my own blood-curdling howl to let him know I was already there. Pillars stretch out before me coming on Orion as quickly as I could. Letting little howls; though barely audible ring the confined space around me. Darting through trees, jumping logs and barely out of breathe amazed me. This was the first real time I had stayed in my wolf form, for more then 2 hours trying to know the land and perphaps my abilities.
Stepping out into the fog covered clearing seeing the grey one, remembering the first time I saw him like that. Harks flattened and banner waved furiously behind my temple. Drawing closer to the man/wolf in front of me, not stopping till I reached him. Finally it happened and reaching out I grazed his chin with my toung and nose connected with his neck fur in a small nuzzle before I place my petite frame next to his and awaited the others eargly wanting to see.

Andra Auds captured the sound of the howl, black muzzle tilted towards the sound and let loose a reply, while ebony limbs stretched into a lope. Andra weaved through the bushes and trees heading towards to podium, where she could scent where Orion and another were standing. Her head twisted back to glance behind her to make sure Connac and Arianna were following. She would hate for them to get lost on the way to their first meeting. The twins were growing quickly, they were almost ten and still gaining in size. Connac was tall and wiry, promising strength speed. Arianna was more petite and lithe, her prowess would probably be in agility. She turned her gaze to the front, her ice-chip eyes peering through the woodlands until she spotted Orion and a unfamiliar white she-wolf at his side. She slowed, approaching cautiously, a shadow among shadows. Only her eyes showed that she was separate from the darkness. She moved closer, and waited for the pair's attention. ConnacGangly limbs flopped around as Connac kept up with his mother. His paws were too big and clumsy for his legs, his joints loose and uncontrollable. Catching on a stone in his way, he landed face first into the dirt. Rising quickly and easily, he tripped again as he started running once more. This time, he paid attention to where he was going, instead of focusing on why he was going where he was. His first lycanth meeting! What other creatures would he mee tonight? He trembled with excitement at the thought. As his mind wandered, he realized that he was now in a clearing, his father in view, a white she-wolf standing next to him. He started forward eagerly to greet Orion, but stopped as he caught Andra's eye, moving quickly to her side.Kriss Wide paws placed themselves silently upon the crackling leaves. Rounded ears atop a marbled head swiveled as an eerie howl caught her attention. Leaping into a nearby tree, Kriss gained speed, launching herself easily from branch to branch. Every once in a while her pelt would catch a shaft of moonlight, staining the gold marble silver swirls. Her blue-green eyes caught every movement of every creature before her. Movement below caught her attention the most. Two pitch black wolves moved beneath her. Scenting that they were lycanths, she followed them, surmising that they were heading to the meeting. She reached the last tree before the break in cover and perched there, not yet making her appearance.

This is what I was waiting for. The hunt. I had been waiting for this long enough. All I wanted to do, was hunt. I didn't want all that other crap to happen. I just wanted my fangs to come in contact with prey. Feel them ripping them apart. My ice blue eyes watched Orion. I did not say anything, but I wasn't going to tonight. My attitude would be too harsh if I did. This night always made me harsh. I wanted to kill prey, not anyone else, but there were times that I forced myself to back off.
I turned my attention to the sky. Starless. I knew the moon was out, because of the light, but it was thin. I flexed my claws and thrashed my tail. My eyes glinted and I snorted. I wanted to begin, but we needed the others. I pawed the ground as I waited. I was very unpatient at this time, but I guessed that was normal for a fifteen year olds first hunt. my dusty grey fur bristled, and my harks and nose twitched. Hurry up!

Her mother seemed to move with such speed that Connac had trouble keeping pace with, but not Arianna. Rolling over the scenery she had been wandering the wood to familiarize herself just a little more, though this place was like her second home next to the actual house of her father, Orion. Strides took her ahead of her mother until she caught eye of her father and that other female, his mate. Why he chose her over her mother was beyond her, but she couldn't disrespect him without risk of punishment, it was his choice and not her own. She dared to step forward and took a seat ahead of her mother, the gray of her pelt glistening against the backdrop of the darkness, she was turning out to be one of her own, though only nearing 10 years she seemed to be more or less independent, at least, more than her brother was.
---------------------
He didn't really want to answer the damned howl, but did he really have a choice? Black form slinked through the city without much notice, then finding it's way through the wood without much to hold him back. He stretched far and wide, great glow of his yellow gaze was all that could be seen of him. He fell silent, the scent of all those stupid dogs on the ground sort of agitated him, but the faint smell of one cat he knew as Kriss sort of drew his mind from his negative thoughts. He wasn't in like with her, but he knew her, and that alone made him feel a little more comfortable. Like the razor of his nickname he cut through the last few trees and headed to earth, padding forward until he rested a few paces away from the settlement, just in view but out of range and able to take his leave when permitted to.
-------------
Great Green gaze crossed over the land, waiting for the others to show, he knew that all would be there in the blink of an eye, then seeing the one he was searching for he smiled, the beautiful white form of that Tequila approached and giving him a welcoming nuzzle and a gentle lick on the chin. He let a wave of his plume welcome her and a calm lick in return as she took her place at his side, then he looked forward and continued to watch for the others. He could see Andra as she moved forward, her dark form just hidden from sight when she stopped moving, but just before her was his little Arianna, nearly full sized wolf but still his little girl. She strayed a good distance between her mother and himself, a sign that she was not going to pull favorites then, but Connac held fast to his mother's side, just like any male to stick to his mother. Kriss of course would soon be joined by her new follower Frankii whenever that new leopard would show, but so far only Kriss showed herself, then that strange creature of the park appeared, the black panther known as Razor stepping forward. Last, Kiera slipped from the shadows, she seemed more agitated and raring to kill, a natural thing for one so young as her. He would only wait for a few more, for he knew that Kronas would have a little more trouble arriving and of course Frankii still needed to show.

Andra Slight pressure at her side told her Connac had joined her, and she nudged him lightly, as Arianna walked by and sat a ways away from both Orion and herself. She shrugged. Arianna could make decisions for herself as well as any. She turned her attention back to the pair before her. Rising to her paws, she moved forward slowly, approaching Orion alone, for she didn't know the white female, though she surmised that she was his mate. She wasn't hurt, she knew he had a duty to fulfill. She understood that, but hoped a little that she could still remain as Orion's companion, not as his mate. She walked to Orion's side, and nudged him gently in greeting, then moved back in case the other became angered. Her face impassive, she stood watching the female from the corner of her eye. ConnacConnac pricked his ears, staying close to Andra's side, though he towered over her. When he saw she was approaching his father, he left her side to run to Orion, his tongue lolling out the side of his mouth in a stupid wolf grin. He ran full tilt at him, then realized he couldn't slow down. His paws caught a tree root in his way, sending him rolling until he crashed into Orion's legs. He landed on his back, floppy limbs dangling in the air as he grinned up at his father, not at all fazed by his spectacular crash.Kriss A faint movement and a familiar scent alerted her that Razor had joined the group. Relaxing now that there was another feline in the vicinity, she leapt silently down from her maple tree. Landing softly, she wandered over to Razor, nodding a greeting to him. She chuckled as she watched the black pup collide with Orion's legs. She was nervous, for she knew she had disrespected Orion back at the club, sure that she was going to be punished for it in some way. That made her think of something. Where was Frankii? Hopefully she had heard and was on her way. Kriss worried about her newest member, for she was still young and still very new to this life.

Watching the approach of Andra he felt a little more comfortable, she didn't seem phased by his choice in his mate, for she had some good qualities to her as any other did, but tequila, she had something else, she seemed to click with him. If ever Tequila would be alright with his mating once more he would be sure to partner with Andra again, but only with the consent of his mate. He received the nudge and nodded in response, looking her over before he was tumbled by his son, nearly full grown and same size as Orion himself. Lifting a paw he looked at Connac, harks pulled back a little as a gentle smile passed his maw, what a dork his son was turning out to be, but so much like Orion was when he was little.
Connac, Andra, and Arianna, this is Tequila, my mate as you have guessed. She is new to our community, but a good asset, I assure all of you.
He smiled at his words, stepping a little closer to her in a comforting gesture. Surely, her first time around so many large carnivores was a little more unnerving than he would have expected.
------------------------------
Arianna watched the antics of her family and let a huff escape her, only Connac, he was such a clutz. Dropping to her stomach she listened to her father and gave a welcoming nod to the white female.
Well then, I am Arianna, Orion's daughter.
Her words high pitched, mellow, a hint of maturity, but still lacking in depth that showed she was an adult, which of course she was no where near to.
-------------------------------
In the approach of Kriss and her welcoming nod he responded with the same, nodding gently her way before he turned his attention to all the activity up front. Nothing special, but maybe tonight with the presence of another cat there would be more than just a simple hunt occurring....(Grrrr...)

Andra Andra nodded a greeting to Tequila, odd name, though it was pretty, for someone named after a drink. She let no emotions pass over her face, for she was around others. Only with her family would she let her facade slip to show her real face. She nodded once more to the pair and moved off, flicking Connac lightly with her tail as she passed where he was still on his back. She dodged his loosely jointed limbs and made her way back to her original spot. There she settled, observing the others in the clearing. She spied Keira, who was tense and she could see she was itching to hunt. Movement caught her attention and she watched as Kriss leapt from a tree and wandered over to a black panther she did not recognize. Then her mind wandered, though her eyes had turned back to Orion. ConnacConnac rose quickly to his paws as his mother wandered off. He wavered, not sure whether he wanted to join her or stay with his father. His gaze shifted from one to the other, indecision written all over his face. With a rumbling sigh, he folded his legs and laid down next to his father. While he spent everyday with Andra, he hadn't spent much time with Orion lately. He decided that now was a good a time as ever, before the hunt started. His gaze wandered, lingering on two odd creatures. He had never seen anything like them before. One was smaller, about half the size of Andra, with a marbled golden pelt that turned silver in the moonlight. The other was pitch black, about the size of himself, maybe a little smaller. He turned to his father, a question in his eyes. "Umm, Dad? Who and what are those two?" he asked, having no idea as to what they were.Kriss Kriss let out a rumbling purr, deeper than a house cat's more wild and rough. She was content here, she felt relaxed, knowing everyone present, except for the two pups. She could tell they were related to Orion, but which one was their mother. She looked closely at them all, trying to see which she-wolf they looked like. She decided on Andra, for the big male pup was black like her, though he looked like Orion. The female was more in size and shape to her, though her pelt was a mirror image of Orion's. She turned her attention to Razor, admiring again his sleek black pelt, and strange yellow eyes.

I sighed. This wasn't a hunt. I snarled. Are we going to hunt or stand around here? My voice was a feirce snarl. It didn't surprise me, but it might've surprised the others. I wasn't myself tonight. I felt like the vampire that bit me had a strange effect on me on hunt nights. I felt like I was craving my prey's blood. Maybe that's what happened but whatever. I wanted to start. My breathing became faster. I wasn't going to attack any of the others, but I felt like attacking something. Although it might not be too good for the small pups that were here. My lip curled as I growled again.

His eyes passed over the group a few more times, it seemed the others might actually have to catch up with time, but hearing the growls of Keira brought a growl low in his throat, a warning to her to keep herself calm or he would calm her down himself. Connac's question brought his attention to his son and he smiled.
You see the spotted cat is a clouded leopard, her name is Kriss Paloma. That black cat is a panther, he is a wanderer who goes by the name Razor, but his real name is Issac.
Tensity came across his shoulders with Keira's agitated question, gaze shifted to her and yet again his fangs were bared, she was pushing it, he didn't want to have to stalk more than one lycanth tonight. It was true, they had to get moving, turning his snout to the sky he let out his eerie howl before he leaped from the podium and lead off at a slow trot for the woods. He needed the kids to stick with their mother and Tequila had to stay with him, so his pace couldn't be too quick.
-------------------------
Arianna followed the signal and turned on her haunches, striding off but then coming to stop and wait for her mother, who was still with Connac on the podium.
------------------------
He didn't wait for long after the signal was rang, charging off he let his senses take over as he took to the trees. Claws jabbed the bark as he stalked through dead silent and dark against the backdrop of the night. Kriss would soon be following and he had plans for her, oh yes he did, but first, he would quench his thirst and enjoy a short meal of a bird or something before he tracked her and had what he wanted of her.

Andra Ears shot forward at the call. She rose to her paws, and jerked her head, signaling to Connac to come to her side. She spotted Arianna waiting for them at the edge of the trees. She loped to her daughter's side and stood waiting for Connac. When he joined them, she spoke softly to them, no emotion in her apathetic tone. "Stay by my side, both of you. We will be near your father most of the time. Should you get separated," and here she paused, looking straight at Connac. "Find Orion and stay near him and Tequila," she finished. Then she turned and entered the trees, allowing her senses and instincts take control. She crouched as she ran breathing deeply to find the scent of a deer. She found one quickly and she slowed, approaching slowly, stalking, until she was only 6 feet from it. She launched herself forward, latching onto its throat as it thrashed. A hoof connected with her side, and she growled, clamping down tighter. Finally it slowed, and collapsed on the ground, blood pooling beneath it. She howled her victory before tearing into the fresh, warm meat. Connac]Connac rose swiftly and scrambled to Andra's side. He stood, quivering with excitement, his tongue lolling out the side of his mouth. He nodded eagerly at Andra's instructions, wincing a little as she fixed her icy eyes on him. He probably was going to trip and fall behind. But he was smart, he could easily find Orion and Tequila. He just hoped that Tequila wouldn't mind him tagging along. His attention returned to his mother as she entered the trees. He followed quickly, nipping Arianna lightly as he loped by her, before slipping into the darkness. He followed his mother's scent, until it was joined with that of a deer's. He approached slowly, the sound of a struggle reaching his auds. The souunds stopped and he trotted forward to share the kill. He ripped into the haunches, blood soaking his chin.Kriss Kriss leapt into the tree she had been sitting under, slipping easily and quickly into the forest. Her senses took over, and she made her way through the trees, instincts commanding her mind. She opened her mouth, drinking in the scents in search of prey. She identified every scent that entered her mouth. Orion, Tequila, Andra, Keira, the two pups, and Razor. Razor was nearby, but she ignored him. Instead, she dropped to the ground and began to stalk through the trees, intent on making a kill. A bird fluttered by, but she made no move towards it. It was too small, not enough for a meal. She placed her paws silently into the leaf loam, catching the scent of a pheasant weaving into her nostrils. She went forward silently, then launched herself at it, killing it with one swift bite. She settled down and began to eat slowly and methodically, relaxing in the calm of the night.

The silent stalkings of the night were sent in another direction, he could hear Andra and his children take a deer not too far off, but his focus was not on them. Turning he slipped away unnoticed, silent and stalking through the wood without much notice from anyone else. Shifting once more his body lengthened and paws turned to long extended claws, part man, part wolf, the most formed of all the mixes on earth, for he looked like he held all the anatomical correctness of the wolf and bits of man. Standing at about 7 feet in this form he was lithe, agile, quick, and strong all at once, and he could climb trees just as well as any cat could, not something that many dogs like himself could really boast about. Silent motion carried him up the trunk of a tall tree and he leaped from branch to branch until he came upon who he was looking for. He lunged, Pummeling the creature from the tree and pinning it to the earth far below, dust and debris flying in every which direction as he snarled and reached for Kriss's throat, snapping down wildly but not hard enough to kill her, not yet. You do not dishonor me, none are foolish enough to do so. You are so lucky I do not punish you for what you have done! The words spilled into her mind, so ferocious and demanding, he would not let her go unless she swore never to do what she did again...
-------------------
Hearing the distant sounds of her father carrying on in his duties, Arianna's attention was drawn back around with the gentle nips of Connac at her flank. She held quiet as she slipped into the darkness and rounded her mother and the deer, unnoticed by that of her brother she prowled around until finally leaping forward and beginning to wrestle him.

Kriss Sudden weight flung Kriss harshly to the ground, she snarled in surprise. She bared her long canines, until she saw what was attacking her. Long snout bared its teeth just inches from her throat. Her ears laid flat against her head, fear showed in her wild eyes. The words rang harshly through her mind, sending shudders of terror down her spine. Though she was terrified, she knew he would kill her, at least, she knew that when she was thinking clearly. At the moment she wasn't thinking clearly. Her voice trembled only the slightest as she replied. You know the reason I told you to leave. As soon as the words were out of my mouth, I regretted them. That shall never happen again, for at that time I was worried, for she was the first I had ever changed. She shook her head infinitesimally, as much as she could with his ivories so close to her throat. She repeated herself for emphasis, Never again shall anything like that happen.

Watching her motions and hearing her words he allowed his form to shift back to all wolf, seating himself just feet away from her he waited patiently for her to regain her standing. He smiled, for he was glad she was so willing to understand his ruling, nodding his head in respects he merely showed that he caught what she meant and knew she would not make the same mistake again...well, not in a serious way anyways, for joking was always welcome around him. Turning he padded off and let a howl loose to call forth Tequila, he was sure that she was still a little unsure of what to do in that sort of situation.

Kriss He got off of her and she rose unsteadily to her paws, her limbs shaking with relief and adrenaline. She watched Orion walk off and howl for his mate, and shook her head to clear it. She shook, letting all of the emotions she had held in check let go. Once the shuddering slowed and came to a halt, she walked over to her pheasant, and laid back down to crunch the remains. She finished then strode off, letting her paws and mind wander. Her nerves were still frazzled, adrenaline still pumping through her veins. She couldn't hear anything other than her own pawsteps, and she wondered where the others were. ((you can bring in Razor now if you want.))[/size]
